Happy Birthday

Siiggghhh ... maybe this should've have been a Be Thankful card, I'm so over the flood clean up but it continues with mould now growing and this morning I'm seeing that I'll have to have a clean up in here before anything else happens... and shake myself and be oh so thankful that our problems are minuscule compared to whole flooded homes and businesses that have lost everything...

First I die cut my flowers from scrap leftover from my heart card earlier this week, then some white leaves.  Decided to go with a red background panel and stamped and embossed my sentiment in silver.  I used the moulding tool to give the flowers and leaves some dimension and added the die cut flower centers and arranged them on the card.

I am playing along with CAS Mix Up February challenge - Dimensional Diecuts ... my elements are Dimensional die cuts, stamping, heat embossing, die cuts.
Also joining in at CAS Watercolour February challenge - Red and Pink, Watercooler Wednesday  WWC208 - Charlottes "All about occasions" challenge, and Stamplorations Cutplorations February challenge - flowers are my inspiration.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping

  1. Beautiful card Robyn. LOVE the flowers cut from your leftover smooshing. So pretty in pink, especially against the dark red background. Great design with lots of dimension from your shaping of the blossoms. The silver heat embossed sentiment is icing on the cake!

It's hard not to be discouraged after so many days of clean-up, Robyn. You'll get there. Sorry to hear there are now mould problems. Hopefully you'll find a good solution to get rid of it. Would bleach work?? Trouble with bleach is that it would be hard on the surfaces too. Making some cards is a good escape. Take care and hope it's finished for you soon. xx

  5. Your watercolor worked perfectly for these sweet shaped flowers and I love how the flowers and white die cut leaves pop on the red background! The silver embossed sentiment adds elegance! Clean up is not fun, especially when the mold starts. It's so hard to get rid of. Chin up, my friend.

  7. Beautiful card Robyn I love the red background with your pretty watercoloured flowers. Floods, know all about it, we lived in Moora Western Australia in 1999 when it was flooded three times and the mould is really hard to get rid of, we had it regrow three times in some cupboards and in the end we had to replace them and we found they started to disentegrate after a while. Hard to get up every day to face the devastation a flood can do, Sending positive thoughts, just take one day at a time! Hugs Sue xx

  11. These soft pink flowers on that stunning red background card stock is beautiful. I'm sorry you had such a flood there and it is messy to clean up. Mold can be harmful so I hope you are able to get it cleaned out well.
