Happy Birthday

My card this afternoon is my first attempt at CASEing someone elses work. The team at Stamplorations are CASEing Lolls card (below) for the March CASEplorations challenge.
I made the red panel with a stencil and my mixing colour and gold into my texture paste. Then I stamped the gorgeous flower in pearl gold embossing and water coloured with distress ink. I finished the card with a few loops of gold cord, a few gems and a birthday sentiment.  I'm really happy with my first try at CASEing. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday .....#300

..in my opinion! Afternoon fellow WOYWWers and a very big thank you to Julia at Stamping Ground who started this phenomena 300 posts ago - Congratulations Julia, you have me hooked and I do so enjoy visiting desks/workspaces across the globe. I think I can say I have a few friends I have never even met, but wish to thank one and all for their comments and inspiration, it's a load of fun and very interesting.

67 WOYWW Desker posts - I've just checked back as see I joined this craze end of June 2013....and this is what I wrote.....
Just been checking out a fellow Aussie's blog and see she shares on
What's On Your Work-desk? Wednesday and even though it's Friday I'd like to share my space and visit others that post their special place and to realise you're not the only one the disappearing fairies visit - you know when you're just had that item in your hand and now you can't find it - anywhere!!   and   the little piles of creations you've started and are still "waiting"   and   the tools, stamps, inks.......that haven't returned just yet to their "home".  My desk isn't too bad today as I've just finished "posting" a new card.  Anyway off now to check out some other WOYWW players.
Thanks for taking peek here
Seems I've changed house but not much else has changed, I still have piles of creations waiting for inspiration to complete. One thing I've learned in this time is keeping my desk at least a bit tidy does help with the fairies and my mojo.
Off now to make a cuppa and WOYWWer some desks. Cheers and enjoy your week.

Just Because...

Whoops, just missed posting my card to the Try Stamping on Tuesdays #207 sketch challenge.
I used a distress ink water coloured background, die cut some circles from designer paper and made a rosette. And finished off with a simple sentiment.

Hello Sweet Friend

A late card today for Freshly Made Sketches #175
I love this silhouette bird cage stamp and recently my friend gave me this wooden cage so I thought it might fit in with the theme, I also found I had a matching bird and rather than paint them black I decided to add another beige layer under the top panel. Then I finished off the card with a ribbon and bow and small sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Be Well

My inspiration for this card came from Maureen and her card on the left. I made the card using Distress Inks and two stamps that I used whole and then masked off half to create different blooms. I die cut an oval in the top panel so the back layer would show through and frame my Get Well sentiment for challenge #29 at The Card Concept  and used the colour palette at Colour Me CMCC#60 - Colour me Playful.

Birthdays are Awesome...

Hello and thanks for taking a peek today.  I've had this front panel for a few weeks - I was experimenting with pages torn from an 'old' book. The old paper stamped nicely with Versafine ink and took the Distress Ink also that I used to colour the image, I also randomly stamped an image over the background to break up to page, then layered it on two panel and finished off with a bow and sentiment tag and a few gems. I'm posting this card to Simon Says Monday challenge - no rules.

Our Beautiful World

Week 87 at Our Beautiful World  and the theme for this weeks photo prompt is from Ros ...TANGLED
This prompt became quite appropriate for me this week - when I'm away visiting I always pack a crate of stamping gear and this time a bag of ribbons and lace was shoved into a spare a corner.......... I think the photo says is all, time for some sorting when I get home this week.

BUT also out in my garden you could say I have a tangled array of tropical plants... just planted haphazardly and nicely filling in the gaps now.

Thanks for dropping my my blog and taking a peek, We'd love you to visit the other team members blogs and see their Tangled photos this week too. Please also join in and share your favourite photos on the OBW blog.
