Scrapbook Boutique, Mothers' Day

I'm so pleased I sat down again at my desk and to make my mum this Mothers' Day card...I'm really pleased with it and the soft pink and greens give it an old world effect. It also falls into the challenge this month for Scrapbook Boutique's theme of Pink and Green.  I live a very long way from my mum - she's a very special mum to us six kids and I truly wish we lived a lot closer at this time especially when she's coping with my dad who is very sick. Hugs for all mum's out there young and old, and like me in between.

Less is More

Good morning this wonderful Friday... can you tell I'm happy it's TGIF.  So I'm on a roll with my second card and really wanted to make one for the LIM challenge
-week 64 with a theme 'How Charming'. I like the concept of less is more and to use a charm this week was wonderful. I have these cute metallic charms I got some years ago so the fish one straight away meant a male card. Thanks for taking a peek.

Sketches: Creatively Yours, Crazy4Challenges

This is my first card post on this blog where my friend Vikki is DTM. Sketches: Creatively Yours - April card sketch #412 appealed to me right off but instead of using different coloured strips I chose to stick with white. I am also posting it on the Crazy4Challenges blog C4C133 where they ask us to use Black to make your card pop! I am very happy with my finished card, hope you do too. Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas cards

Good morning stampers....oh and what a relief to have made a couple of Christmas cards today...I was flat on the weekend, no mojo what so ever so I had a peaceful relaxing time reading and catching up on some sleep...probably bought on by the excitement and then the travel after  Jacalyns wedding. I was inspired by Kaths card from last year, I love her work - just wish I could take nice clear photos of my cards. Anyway I'm off to check out some inspiration. Thanks for taking a peek

Jacalyn's wedding

I couldn't help but share a few photos of Jacalyn and Andrew's wedding on Easter Saturday. It was perfect, a beautiful setting, day and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. And of course she looked radiant...we wish them every happiness as they start a new chapter in their lives.

Deconstructed Sketch 47

My second card today is a Birthday card for my dad...he will be 83 on Friday. I've used the sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch #47 as my friend Vikki says its "a blokey type sketch".  I went shopping with her while I was on holiday and we bought some 6inch paper packs and this background paper is one of them...I love it.
Hope you like my Kookaburras....thanks for taking a peek
