Happy Birthday Rose

I have used this embossing folder and watercoloured it before.... I just love the EF and card
  • Embossed the Kaisercraft Sketched Rose on white watercolour card
  • Watercoloured with Distress Inks - squeezed lemonade, fossilised amber, abandoned coral, old paper, peeled paint
  • hint.... I am by no means perfect at colouring in between the bumps, so a little white gel pen helps to disguise this
  • Stamped the birthday sentiment from Cardmaking & Papercraft - All Seasons Wreath set, trimmed the white card strip and attached with foam tape.
  • Finished the card with a dark yellow border onto a yellow card.

Twofer Cards featuring Sunshine

Just in time to play along the June Twofer Card Challenge #39 - Sunshine -
I have used a little cloudy sun stamp from Sheena's Sea View Collection

For my first card I stamped the sun on a white card panel and also the yacht from the same set, then masked and watercoloured the sea and sky line with Distress Inks and then the yacht and sun.  It was a bit bare so I stamped the island palm trees .  To finish, stamped the sentiment and framed the panel with navy blue edge on a white card.

My second card was a totally scene creation to go with my die cut bicycle from my stash.... used the sun stamp and masked off the sun and stamped the clouds again and  watercolourws the sky.  I used a texture stamp for the ground and watercoloured it too.  Then stamped on the trees and grass.  I computer generated the sentiment and attached the panel to a light brown card with darker brown border.

Stockings were hung by the Chimney with Care

Sometimes I like to create a little scene  and so today I have made a little mantle piece to hang my stocking
  • Stamped the Power Poppy stocking from the Poinsettia set with Bundled Sage DI, watercoloured it with Distress Inks and fussy cut it out
  • Using some brown card I cut strips and swipe Walnut stain DI to give a timber appearance and formed it up with foam sheet
  • Stamped the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers - Mixed Christmas Sentiments with Versamark and gold embossed it
  • The mantle was a bit bare so I die cut a candle from Sizzix Festive Things
  • The background then was a bit tricky and decided to go with light brown card and dry embossed it with Cuttlebug Diamonds in the Rough EF.

Warmest Wishes

A bit of fun with my Christmas card for the CAS Christmas challenge.....
  • Masked parts of the snowman from Honkey Dorey Winter Warmers set and stamped with Versafine black on white card
  • Cut a snow slope and snowman mask and used Distress Ink - faded jeans to create a skyline
  • Stamped the hat and scarf and watercoloured them and the snowman with Distress Inks - faded jeans, candied apple, spiced marmalade
  • Fussy cut hat and scarf
  • Drew on a new face, lost twig arm and the flattened bottom with fineline black pen
  • Die cut the panel with CUTplorations running double stitched rectangle
  • Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Clair tulip red and clear embossed
  • Lastly added some white glitter because you can't have snow/snowman with sparkle

Do you get the connection with the sentiment and snowman sliding down the hill??

Happy Birthday

  • I recently got this die with a magazine - Card Making Magic - Between the Line Crocus set and so of course I had to die cut it straight away....
  • I did a bit of fiddling and part cutting then reverse the panel and recut one end of the die... so I could make a longer slim card
  • Then I found in my smooched backgrounds a long enough piece to go behind the die cut (no clue how I made this but do know I recycled the back of a bought card - shiny and slightly textured
  • Attached to a slim card and finished off with a stamped sentiment from Happy Little Stampers - Fun birthday sentiments....used Stampin' Up Island Indigo and clear embossing and a few green gems

Thanks for visiting,   have a Wonderful Creative day..... cheers

Just Because

  • Stamped the Azalea flowers with Versamark and white embossed on white card panel

  • Die cut the panel with Poppy Craft stitched die
  • Stamped and silver embossed sentiment from Inspired by Stamping - Flowers Bloom
  • Attached to a white card with foam sheet
  • Sorry about the dull darker than real photos

Hello Friends

Well, a big hello to my card making blogger friends...
    ....   I'm still here
and realised today, it's half way through the month and I haven't finished one card
Do any of you find that you've fallen off the grid and deserted your buddies?
I do
So many lovely friends I've met.... sent cards to.....  received cards from and ...  heaps of wonderful encouraging comments....    I love you all and appreciate every single one of you
.....  and I feel like I'm floundering
So I'm hoping now that I've put this in words - I can find my mojo and you'll see me real soon

I've made so many cards over the years and even with the challenges for inspiration my enthusiasm is on a low and I don't want it to be.
I have been dabbling at my desk....        just not finishing

Thanks everyone.....       NOW to MAKE SOME CARDS!!
HUGS
