What's On Your Workbench, Wednesday

WOYWW #235 (click here to go to Julias blog to find out and join in with sharing our desks on Wednesdays)  ..... again I'm not at home at my desk but would like to share a few pics.  We've been travelling again this week and spent 3 days with my sister and hubby in on their rural property at Gympie...where I took the pics of their cat Kingy and the lorikeets that Helen feeds in the morning.  The sunrise is from our balcony at Yeppoon the morning we left. And following are a few special Christmas cards I've made for family and friends. Happily I'm all organised and my cards are all sent....yippeee. Hope you're getting into the festive groove and gearing up to share a special Christmas. Cheers and thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas Ornament

Another card I made yesterday at Vikki's and I totally just copied Jennifers card at Freshly Made Sketches #111 - it just stood out for me the crisp white and red - so as I need a few more for my card stack and I'm not home at my desk I used Vikki's Scorepal to make some backgrounds and stamped up a few more ornaments from the freebie set from a mag I bought this week, whoohoo I'm on a roll. Hope you're enjoying your weekend, thanks for taking a peek

V for Vixen

limedoodleKPrudolphHi happy card makers....here's my latest card, I made it yesterday at friend Vikki's craft space, thanks again Vikki for sharing your stuff; I love being here to spend time with Sophie our new granddaughter but do miss my hubby and desk.
Anyway I saw this tag yesterday at Debby's blog and loved it's simple design so here's my version. Using Brown colours for CAS.ology challenge and making a "Tag" card for Tuesday Throwdown #172, I like it also as a "Card for Men" in the October  at Sweet Stampin Christmas and "V for Vixen" over at ABC Christmas challenge.  Thanks for taking a peek and have a super weekend

WOYWW #231

What's on my workdesk Wednesday #231...this week...nothing................because I'm not home I'm in Townsvsille playing Nanna and visiting our new grand daughter Sophie Alice Bates - a few hours old in pic one with mum Jacalyn - born 26/11/13. Very happy, very proud, she's just gorgeous and tiny (2960gm or 6  1/2 lb.)
But ..... also while we're here (at our home lived in by our son Ryan) we've had our two huge mango trees trimmed by half and as it's just the start of mango season the fruit came down as well.... so I've been busy freezing and dehydrating the fruit ... so I guess you can call my sink my desk this week. Dried bananas from our tree and bottle tomato sauce which I nabbed cheap at the supermarket.
If you're wondering what all this madness about desks is pop on over to Julia's blog and read all about it.
Do hope you're all having a super week... I sure am - I'm off now over to visit again and take mum and bubs for their first Dr visit.
Cheers Robyn

WHW #121–Embossed Edges

Last Wednesday at Inspired by Stamping their Whoo Hoo Wednesday technique #121 was for Embossed Edges...I love doing this technique and on Saturday made this card at friend Vikki craft space using ALL of her gear as I'm in town this week cuddling up to our new granddaughter Sophie Alice.  I chose to emboss the edges of my tag with a matching ink colour - got to use Vikki's new Spellbinders lattice die and inked up some seambinding to match....it for a special couple who sent me a birthday gift :-), I might add a flower to the top left corner.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas Bauble

A second card from me today for the 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown challenge #22, with the theme "Bling It Up".  I created this sparkly Christmas bauble by rubbing and ink stick over my stamp, stamped it onto card stock and then sprinkling gold glitter over....it worked fabulously, so I've made a couple. I only added one gold gem to the star and a dark purple bow to finish  it off.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas Tree

This weeks challenge at Less is More - Week 142 is TREES....so of course at it is coming up Christmas and I need more cards I've made a soft Christmas card with my tree die cut and distress ink background.  Then I've dressed up the tree with clear crystal gems for the theme at 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown #22 - "Bling it up".        Thanks for taking a peek

Well it's very nice to be back sharing my Saturday with friend Vikki via Skype.. we inspire each other and today we've been hard at it and here's my fourth post - one for the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge. - 'anything goes'.  Here Vikki and I were both taken by Chuppas card (here) that we dug out our Distress Inks and created backgrounds.  Thanks for taking a peek

Bright Merry Christmas

Oh yes did I not dig into the bags in search of ribbons for this card and yes, some I've had for a very long time, what they asked for at the Shopping Our Stash challenge SOS#123 this week - your oldest ribbon. I've teamed that with the layout at Sketchbook Saturday #107 for this gold theme Christmas card. Thanks for taking a peek

 SOS #123 - Oldest Ribbon

May Peace be your Gift

Love this simple layout from CAS(E) this Sketch #50, and the holly wreath from Chocolate Baroque stamped and embossed really nicely. The cardstock is cream and looks heaps better than the pic.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry and Bright

CHNC challenge extra for October

Hi there this windy overcast day in sunny Queensland...no it's very pleasant

Hope you're getting along with your Christmas card stash, happily mine is now around 50 since I've had a good week to catch up.  Thanks for taking a peek
