Best Wishes
Here is my last card for the day, I have enjoyed myself.... I used the 'smooching' technique to create the background strip with Distress Ink. Then stamped by floral (nature) image in brown so it was a bit muted and coloured it with DIs. Finished off my CAS card with a simple sentiment with flourish. I used the layout at Stamplorations January challenge - Stamps and CAS and am posting also to Just Add Ink - Just add nature theme. Thanks for taking a peek
Sending All My Love
Well it's been a very uncreative month so I am pleased that on the last few days of January I have found a bit of creative mojo and have made a few projects. My card today is for Stamplorations CASEplorations - casing a gorgeous card from Laura Bassen. I chose to colour my texture paste in shades of pink/red as my take on her card...mine is definitely "texturey".... is that then 'rough love'
Ok enough. A simple sentiment label and the card is finished. I am also posting to Simon Says Monday challenge - Love Is In The Air. Thanks for taking a peek

Challenge: Love Is In The Air
dream BIG
Some days I have 'left-overs' of ink, and texture paste etc...and this is how my background for my wall-art was created. It started with a yellow misted stencil on water-paper - not inspiring. Then some time later green splotches were soaked up remnants on my plastic palette. Last week I had leftover yellow tinted texture paste and used that with my dotty stencil. I suppose that's why us crazy "artists" (I'm using that word very loosely) don't throw out ANYTHING. Any I hand wrote on my sentiment and added some white gel pen. Layering it onto black and green card pulled it all together and I'm happy with the outcome. I'm posting to Stamplorations - Mixed Media January challenge and Simon Says - Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes. Thanks for taking a peek

Friday Smiles
.....so I'm back to share my happy happenings for this week...
As you might know we are renovating... here are a few of the 21 holes they've dug early in the week
And yesterday we had the concrete poured and the steel bases embedded in ready for the uprights. We can get a feel for the size of the rooms now.
What a lovely surprise on Monday when I was watering the garden (hand watering as we are on water restrictions) - my Bromeliads are in flower again,
and Mia is 3 months old today

Have a wonderful weekend, cheers

Friday Smiles
Well this week I am in a state of happy shock, still can't believe that the builders arrived early this morning to measure up and stake out the yard for the posts for the extensions to our house.
Yipppeeee!!! - Work has started
Here's the builder hammering in the first stacks.
And this is how it looks this afternoon - with stakes down one side of the house marking out where the holes need to be dug.
Hubby at last has dug up the clothes hoist to be relocated further down the backyard.
More stakes out the back yard - you can't see them well in the pic but they are there, some with little yellow caps so we won't trip over them.
Yes I AM smiling, how about at your place, have you had a fabulous week, well pop over to Annie's and share. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for popping in

Here's gd Sophie dancing - she loves music and now can be heard singing to herself as she plays. Loves wearing her pretty dresses too...you might recognize this one from Frozen.
And here is special little miss Mia with Nanna - so tired and just needing a Nanny hug before she went down for her nap... she sleeps on her tummy
Hope you've had a wonderful week with lots to smiles about

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?
Sharing desk photos with Julia's group is loads of fun and so interesting to meet others with crafty interests - want to join in then pop over to her blog and read all about it.
Here's my desk today....yes there's not much happening from me because I'm sharing my space with gd Sophie who's 2 and already loves her crayons and paper. At the bottom of the photo is my latest Inspired by Stamping 30 day challenge - pine cones
and here she is on the swing with my craftavan in the background.
Thanks for dropping by, we're off for a swim now (it's dripping hot!!) and I'll be back later to visit your desks. Have a wonderful week, cheersMonday, 11 January 2016
Silhouette Sunset
I've recently been trying out 'new' ways with my favourite watercolour medium TH Distress Inks - creating some colourful backgrounds to use with silhouette images. This is the first time I've used this Crafty Individuals stamp (it's one in a set of four) and I'm excited to create some more cards with these stamps. I am posting to Simon Says Monday challenge - Something New... so new Silhouette cards is my entry. Thanks for taking a peek

With Warmest Birthday Wishes
For my last card for this weekend I used the layout at CAS(E) this Sketch CTS 154. I stamped the sentiment and masked it before I stamped the image. I coloured the image with markers and finished the card with two layers of matching card. Thanks for taking a peek
Happy Birthday
I'm really liking this birthday card I've finished off this afternoon. I used the sketch at Always Playing With Paper #55. An easy background created with a few brush strokes of Distress Ink, a strip of gauze and a fussy cut floral image...also coloured with DIs. Finished with a matching layer and sentiment banner. Thanks for taking a peek
Happy Birthday
This birthday card is for the latest Seize the Birthday challenge - Anything Goes, and I'm using the theme at Shopping Our Stash - Monochromatic. I've been trying out some different styles with Distress Inks and this is one of the backgrounds - simply stamped with a dragonfly and sentiment and mounted on two layers to frame it. Thanks for taking a peek
