Ok my project for Simon Says Monday challenge isn't actually 'inside' the box, I made this little gift box with double sided patterned card and a plain brown lid. I decorated it with a few button and then shredded some cellophane packaging to carry my small gift for our step-granddaughters 13th birthday. She was thrilled and will wanting to me to show her how to make the box. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Noel..
OOOH wow, a card without Ink - that doesn't happen very often for me because I'm a rubber stamper, but a couple weeks back I got this freebie die on a magazine.. so I had to try it out.... it's fiddly, changing colours and collecting all those little bits - happy that I used the double sided adhesive tape before I die cut...i used different types of shiny metallic card even for the card base. And so I have a Christmas card for this weeks Shopping Our Stash - SOS #347 - No Ink.
I am also playing along at Watercooler Wednesday WWC163 challenge- All About Christmas - Anything Goes and also to Rudolph Days challenge for March - Anything Goes. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Easter

March Rudolph Days Challenge
I do enjoy a moonlight stroll in the garden...
Just had a morning of fun with this little artwork.... some stamps, a die cut, and inky circles, and the colour palette all came together - I just had to include a cat from the photo inspiration too.
I masked off the moon and used Distress Inks - Hickory Smoke and Wilted Violet, for the background then stamped on my 'florals' in black ink, and gave the moon a shimmer with some Perfect Pearls. I sponged over some purple on the round flowers and added scattered circles with the inked end of a pen. To finish I layered my panel on purple and black card, used foam dots to attach my card and attached my hand written sentiment. I am playing along at the Rubber Dance March challenge. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Easter

Best Wishes
I just love Fuchsias and living in the sub tropics one doesn't see them very often but I would love to see them in my garden....mmm, one day maybe. Anyway these blooms are a result of my trying out the use of Distress Oxide ink direct onto the shadow stamp... and were supposed to me just my try outs... I liked the look of them so 'touched them up' with a little watercolouring. .. roughly cut around the two sprigs and then simply arranged them on a stitched die cut background and added a stamped sentiment displayed on a a matching pink tag. I am posting my floral card to Stamplorations March challenge - choosing Spring as my theme and also to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Floral Frenzy. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Dream Big
My card this evening is for two challenges - Watercooler Wednesday challenge - WWC162 - Masculine Anything Goes, and Addicted to CAS - Birds. I love this Kingfisher stamp (stamped and watercoloured with Distress Oxides and fussy cut) teamed with this 'fishy' embossed background - I think is perfect for a male - the tricky part was finding a sentiment and in the end this one had me thinking of men fishing - always after the big fish or the big fish that got away. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
Vintage Travel ATCs
Today I finished off my set of Vintage Travel ATCs for a small exchange with friends... they just so happened to fit nicely with this weeks Simon Says Monday challenge - Road Trip, so I thought I'd share them. I used a combination of stamping and images from a Designer sheet. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Joy in Life
Whoopie, made my HM card this challenge in the first week not at the very last minute. I stamped my image with brown ink and used coloured pencils to colour it....that's the easy bit. I eventually decided to go with a pale pink layer and that grew into a lattice frame... with a bit of wangling I managed to enlarge the frame by part die cutting it and moving the die so it fit with the lattice, turning it around and through the machine half way again, the fit was just perfect for my cut down image panel. Then I stamped my sentiment in Pearl Gold EP and die cut with a label die and threaded some ribbon through the holes. I die cut some leaves and arranged a paper flower and buds with a bow in the corner. I am playing along at House Mouse and Friends challenge HMFMC #22 - Optional theme Ribbons or Bows. And also Southern Girls Challenge - Team Lou - Diecuts. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Easter
Had some fun combining stamps, on a watercolour wash background, stamped over with a few stems of an inked shadow floral stamp and grass, and then coloured my flower pot bunnie with Distress Oxides, then stamped and clear embossed my fussy cut eggs. To finish I stamped on my sentiment and layered onto dull orange card and a purple card. I am playing along with Shopping Our Stash #346 - Here comes Peter Cottontail/Easter. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas
I was inspired by Bonnie (DT) who used a mug and holly on her card to try another card for their first CAS Christmas challenge - Holly, and instead of making the holly the main image I've used a border die with Christmas Bells and Holly - I used Twinkling H2Os to colour my die cuts and an extra holly and used foam tape to attach them. Then I also used 'Holly Jolly' in my sentiment, stamped in red ink and clear embossed. I've made a long narrow card and I used my Scorepal to scribe a de-bossed frame around the card edge. I am also playing along at ABC Christmas Challenge E, F & G - using 'E' for embossing. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
Merry Christmas Holly
Oh there's a new Christmas challenge - so exciting because I sure do love to be inspired to make my cards all through the year and this month CAS Christmas challenge is HOLLY.... and I've been thinking about it all month so far and decided simple is best. So I stamped my holly in Iced Spruce Distress Ink and tried adding some clear embossing powder - it half worked! Then I stamped and gold embossed my sentiment overlapping a smidge. A quick watercolour with DInk and my berries with Twinkling H2Os.... and my card is done.... think I might make a few more of these. Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Two Long Stemmed Rose Cards...
Happy to finish my Twofer Cards today for Challenge #3 of the Twofer Card Challenge.... Blossoms.
I don't think I've made a card with this old rosebud stamp before, so I've really challenged myself with the purple one, inspired by the talented DT to think outside the box .... can you see the rosebuds stamped in a circle, I added the stems before I fussy cut them and also the leaves are part of the bud. I used Distress Oxides to watercolour them and the background panel is a sheet from a freebie bundle with a magazine. I used some purple card to frame it and a darker purple card, finished with a stamped sentiment and die cut. I kind of like my crazy bright flowers.
This yellow card is pretty self explanatory... stamped the rose stem three times and coloured them with Distress Inks and trimmed the white card down, then layered it with a black frame.... I did the same black with the background panel which I made on glossy card and Brushos and Perfect Pearls mist.... finished with a stamped and trimmed sentiment. This card could be used for a number of occasions... but I think I'll add... On Your Birthday, inside.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day
