Joyous Noel

Time for a Christmas card for Maureen's Rudolph Days February challenge....  from my Christmas UFOs stash I found this cutest House Mouse stamped image...already for me to watercolour... I added some gold Magical Micas to the bell and banner and silver glitter gel pen to the 'skates'.....then fussy cut this.  Also from the stash this embossed Christmas background and that was all I needed - attached all to a red card that helps the sentiment banner stand out.

As I've been using the 'stash' I'm going to play along also with Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge #397.
Thanks for popping to check out my blog -   have a Wonderful Creative day, cheers

  • lastly computer generated, printed and trimmed the sentiment

Birthday Wishes

I created the background panel to display the large die cut sentiment.... stamped and white embossed the floral stamp randomly around the edge of a white panel and then blended Distress Oxide inks fading towards the centre  ... buff off the excess ink with a dry baby wipe.  Die cut the two part sentiment on white card and used the same DO inks to add colour, then die cut it again with dark yellow card and glue these together - attached the panel and die cuts to a white card and finished with a few gems.

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a Wonderful Creative day, cheers

Wishing you well

Oh yes we have had a lovely week with some rain... so it's much cooler but too wet for gardening, so some crocheting and a few cards for the end of the month challenges.

Stamped the image in grey on a white card panel, used blotting paper and coloured pencils to blend some mauve around the edges and then coloured in the image.  Stamped and gold embossed the sentiment, attached the panel to a white card and added a few pearl gems to finish.

I am playing along with The Rainbow challenge #26 - Mostly Mauve.
I'm happy that you popped over for a visit, have a Wonderful Creative day, cheers

Celebrate like you're the Queen

My friend Catherine is really egging me on to try more than cards, so I have another journal page....

  • fussy cut images from magazines.... hard task for me to chop of perfectly good mags
  • found a stamped acrylic painted background and trimmed it with sparkly red and gold
  • stamped and gold embossed a crown and fussy cut, added a tiny gem
  • stamped the sentiment in black and added my own 'Every Day'
  • attached to journal and finally added a sparkly party hat and gems to the lucky lady
Thanks for checking this post out, I am not in my comfort zone, but having fun
Cheers

Happy Birthday

😊  I'm back with another card finished off today.... this one is monochromatic in pretty pink.

From my background stash I picked this pink misted panel - then stamped and white embossed the flower stamp, watercoloured them with Distress Inks and fussy cut them out...  for my latest item I chose the foliage die I got just before Christmas and cut three from white card.  Arranged all these on my card and added a couple of twists of organza ribbon and a pink ink stamped sentiment.

Thanks for visiting my blog - hope you have a Wonderful Creative day, cheers

Two Birthday Cards

Even with some card making this week I was still able to make two more yarn remnant squares .... you can tell I'm smiling because I'm sharing them with you...

And I even made a Twofer set of cards

I used some photographic paper and Versamark inked through the floral stencil and then Heat Embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  Then I added Alcohol Inks to the images... started with yellow for the flower centres which was ok, till I added the red for the surrounds hoping to leave some area clear for some green around the leaves - the red took over pretty quick but I liked the results.  Cut the panel in two and made a black card and a white one - Added a green layer on the black and used the same green card for my stamped and black embossed sentiment.

...on the white card I added a black card layer to frame the panel and stamped the sentiment on the card with black ink.   Mixed Media elements.... Heat embossing, Stencil, Alcohol Inks, Stamping

Thanks for taking a few minutes to visit my blog.... hope you have a Wonderful Creative day, Cheers

Sending Love

Nice to see you visiting today, hope you've had a great week.   I have been very distracted from my card making lately.... I've become addicted to crocheting afghan rug squares....my aim is to make use of the yarn remnants that one accumulates over the years....so far I've 9 squares ......      but today I scooped up all the yarn  and put it in another room.
And out with the embossing folders... thought I only had one tiny hearts background but I do have 3 and the one I've used today is 14x14cm (5.5x5.5")

I lightly sprayed watercolour cardstock with a pink drawing ink water mist (I mixed up) and when that was nearly dry, ran it through the Cuttlebug. Then I used the pink Distress Ink (mini) to add colour and depth to the raised pattern (I cut out one of the disaster hearts to use as a mask).  Decided to die cut a sentiment and heat emboss with gold EP and for depth cut two and glued them together...there was a little heart with the die cut so gold embossed it too.  To finish I attached a shiny sheer pink ribbon and bow and attached to a white square card.

I had a few try outs with this EF - the first with a very fine water mist on thin card and the large flat heart area did have a few bump, then I tried heat embossing the raised surface but the inks bled under the decorative outside into the heart, I tried inking the EF - what a mess - never give up, I'm really liking how this one turned out...... check out Gail and Jo's tips on the Let's Squash It blog.
I am playing along with

Have a wonderful creative week, cheers   Robyn
