With Love

Hello and hope you're enjoying your weekend.    We have lovely visitors with us now and Marj is as crafty as me so we get on so well.

Anyway here's my card for this months Let's Squash It! challenge #22 - Keep it CAS

  • For my embossing folder I chose this Tranquil Tulips from Simply Cards & Papercraft... embossed on white card for the background
  • Stamped the flower Fresh Bloom from Stampendous in smokey grey Versafine and watercoloured with Distress Inks, then fussy cut it out
  • Stamped leaves in the grey ink too, from Papermania: Build a Rose set and watercoloured with DI and fussy cut
  • Stamped the sentiment and white embossed on peach card - Power Poppy set Loving Tulips, then die cut with circle die Nestabilities set
  • Assembled the card and added white Nuvo Crystal Drops to the stamen to highlight them

Thanks for stopping by my blog...   enjoy your weekend, hope it's crafty,    Cheers Robyn

With Love

I'm loving these PB cling stamps... in florals -- for this card I used different shades of yellows and greens Distress Inks to stamp the image - and using the Misti you are able to repeat stamping until the desired colours are achieved.  I added a little white gel pen to the flower centres and finished the card with a dark brown/red border on a burnt orange card ... tying some twine and a sentiment tag to the bottom.

I am playing along with Penny Black & More June challenge - Favourite stamps   ......   ALSO   ... Penny Black Saturday June challenge - Anything Goes.

With Love

Hi and thanks for popping in,
I do hope all is well at your place
and that you find something to smile about today.

My friend Ros has been sharing her wonderful hand painted cards recently,
and she has inspired me to have a dabble.....

I used Distress Inks and stamped and embossed the sentiment.  I was very happy to find matching metallic card to frame the die cut panel.

I know my mum will love it....

Cool Colours Watercolouring

Mid month reminder to join in and play along with
hosted by Bonnie with the theme
COOL COLOURS

Here's a sampling of cool colors

For this card I chose a poppy - part of a large stamp, carefully inked the area I wanted in Versamark, stamped and clear embossed it - then watercoloured it with "cool coloured" Distress Inks and a tiny amount of Brushos. Then I fussy cut the image, die cut a stitched frame using a large die with tails but part cut it, turned it and re-positioned the die to make it smaller...I often do this... did it also with the stamped and silver embossed sentiment.  To give the card some dimension I dry embossed the background panel and then arranged the elements with foam tape...and to finish added a few silver gems.

The CAS Watercolour challenge closes on the 24th, we'd love to see your cards in the gallery.
Thanks for stopping by - have a happy day

Card Recipe:
Stamps: PSX - Poppies, Clear Impressions - Celebrate set (sentiment)
Dies:  Poppy Crafts - Stitched Flag Tails
Inks: Versamark, Distress Inks - Faded Jeans, Stormy Sky,  Brushos - Violet, Cobalt blue, Lime green
Other:  Kaisercraft EF - Fern Leaf, silver gems

With Love

Finished off a few WIPs these last couple of days and now with some quiet time I'm able to get them posted.  First I have a card for the CAS Mix Up September challenge - Ink Stamps with Markers.
I used my very old and depleted Tombow markers to colour my outline rose stamp... three shades of red for the flower and two for the leaves.... very lightly misted with water before stamping onto the white card. Then I scribbled the markers onto a plastic worksheet and used a damp brush to pick up the colours and 'roughly' paint the image.  Then I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the image panel, backed it with a metallic rose coloured paper and also used this to die cut my sentiment.  To finish I dry embossed the background panel for some texture.  I used Markers, die cuts, embossing folders, water colouring and stamping on my card.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
