Our Beautiful World

Aren't clouds amazing - they come in all shapes and sizes and colours and I'm always snapping photos.
This pic is really a sandwich of clouds - under and above, taken from my window seat while flying home.
In this pic the clouds were all spreading low over the land with a radiant early morning blue sky above
Heavy rain clouds, you can see the rain falling on the horizon
And late afternoon  shower clouds on our recent road trip home
And of course I'm obsessed with sunsets and the beautiful colours reflected in the clouds

.......And sunrises
here at our local beach where we often take our morning walks
and these sunrise clouds from our balcony.

My kookaburra silhouette is my favourtive.
The team at OBW love to see the wonderful photos that you may have taken or just snapped, so please join in the fun and shareThanks for taking a peek Robyn

Just a Note

My second card today is using the layout at Annabelle Stamps ac179.
The inspiration from the DT is quite dramatic and I liked the simple lines. Vikki suggested I try this layout and so I  got to use an Annabelle sentiment stamp from her collection...thanks Vikki for everything and the yummy curried lamb pie.  I love this designer paper - a nice combination of colours, I dressed it up with some tiny gems.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Birthday

So we continue to have a relaxing productive time at Vikki's and Saturday morning has me making two more cards. The bright cheery Citrus Colours at City Crafters week 210 was a must for me to try as they're out of my comfort zone.  I Distress Inked the background and sprayed with my trusty Perfect Pearl Mist and made some flowers with the same colours.  Then I had some trouble deciding on the sentiment tab but am now quite happy with the result - layering a lacy die with an oval tag. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Birthday to You

Here's my second card from last night... using the palette at House of Cards, May #1 - I think my card is shabby/vintage.
I'm using a background I made ages ago with my Distress Inks and Perfect Pearl Mist - I love the colours and it's been sitting on my desk for some time. The floral is a Chocolate Baroque silhouette stamp, with a sentiment by Inspired by Stamping. A couple of punched flowers with gem centers to finish off.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Live every Moment...

Lovely Saturday here in Townsville where I'm visiting while hubby is away for two weeks and even better I've had a sleepover at Saturday skyping friend Vikki's home with another crafty friend Estelle and we're in our element in Vikki's craft room stamping our hearts out.
Late last night I complete two cards...this one for the Retro Sketches rs#113 layout and using the palette at Color Throwdown ctd291. Some gorgeous background paper and a punched flower I think brings the theme together. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Whats On Your Workdesk, Wednesday??

Hi fellow desk spies... here's my "desk" for Week 257 at WOYWW - well actually it's the foot of my bed at our sons home as I'm away visiting again for the next two weeks. I'm on the bed because in the living room there are four cats who would all be trying to help me :-D
Below is my crate of stamping goodies that I've bought with me so I can finish my ATCs (above) and get them in the post to Julia hopefully tomorrow. Then I'm off on Friday for an overnight stamping session with my friend Vikki who lives here too. It's super to be able to spend time in her special craft room and great to have someone to bounce ideas off. I have to make a male birthday card as it's SIL birthday next week and I forgot.

Now....here's our special darling - Sophie in her play thingie.. it's on springs and she loves bouncing up and down - see there on her tippee toes...aren't I lucky to get to spend time with her. Well I'm off to snoop on a few desks and thank you to everyone who visited last week I got some fun comments about hubbys 'anti hair fall shampoo'.  He chuckled too when I told him what I'd done.
If you're wondering about all this desk viewing pop over to Julia's blog and she'll explain what it's all about....join in, it's fun.
Cheers and thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Our Beautiful World

Good morning and apologies for my late post...travelling all day yesterday. This week at Our Beautiful World - week 45, we are playing along with the Manuelas theme "mirroring" - first it really did have me thinking...but remember this photo and the next I took a couple of years ago ... It is actually the television reflected on the glass top coffee table bearing my wine glass - in a dark room.

Now of course water acts beautifully at reflecting like a mirror so here are a few outdoor shots
See the crocodile lurking in the pandanas leaves - he's quite camouflaged in the reflection

A lovely nature shot with the colours of Australia

And a calm lake shot so still - I love these instances when you capture the tranquility and blow a duck quietly disturbing the lake surface.
Please enjoy our photos over at Our Beautiful World and we invite you to share you photos with us, thanks for taking a peek at mine, cheers and have a great week Robyn

Today is all about You!

Well thanks to friend Vikki R from Tassie whom I'm skyping with this afternoon, I'm making this card for the CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#74.... and it turned out to be a quick card which is always satisfying.  I just cut a hand drawn swish out of some scrap paper and used it as stencil and sponged  3 colours of distresss ink then sprayed it with Perfect Pearl Mist for the sparkly finish. I decided to separate a sentiment stamp and highlighted the Happy Birthday tab by popping it with some foam tape. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
