Scrapbook Boutique, Sketchbook Saturday Challenge

A bit of a lazy day here in Perth, I finished reading my novel and thankfully the sun is shining.
I've put together this bright 'friends' card using the layout from Sketchbook Saturday and the colours from an article in Oct Better Homes and Gardens and also a bunch of buttons for the Scrapbook Boutique monthly challenge. Thanks for taking a peek.

Freshly Made Sketches

So...I didn't know where to start with my next card....but I really liked the cards others made at Freshly Made Sketches #53.....so then to choose some colours...well I decided on the light patterned paper with tiny birds from a Kaisercraft paper stack that also included the maroon spotted paper and I liked how they contrasted. I've teamed them with a Chocolate Baroque stamp and must say it all came together quickly and I'm happy with the result.  Thanks for taking a peek

The Shabby Tea Room, iSpy Sketches

I'm quite liking my card this morning...feminine.  I've used the sketch from last weeks iSpy challenge, ISSC33 and the colours from The Shabby Tea Room  week 132 "Pretty Party"- pink and green and also to included flowers...  Thanks for taking a peek

Colour Q, The Sweet Sunday sketch

Well TGIF - well that doesn't really apply to me seeing as I'm not working at present...but for you workers - the weekend is ahead, yippee!!
Today my card is along the lines of Sweet Sunday Sketch #167 and similar colours to ColourQ #155 theme. I stamped and embossed my image in soft grey so it had a more subtle effect and I like the result.
Thanks for taking a peek.

Less is More, Dynamic Duo

A super day for card making in my caravan  :-)
For the Less is More challenge: week 85 the theme is to include an OVAL on the card and the lovely simple colours of this weeks challenge at  Dynamic Duos DD#20 - Lucky Limeade and Black.  I enjoy working with two colours and I haven't included an oval for a long time...I have two on my card.

retro sketches, The Play Date Cafe

A windy, overcast, showery day outside just ideal for staying indoors and STAMPING....
so I've used retro sketches re#29 layout combined with colours from the Play Date Cafe #149. I don't generally make cute cards but the Hero Arts stamp set words lower and another small set had the other little birds - I coloured them with my twinkling H20s.  Thanks for taking a peek

Freshly Made Sketches, Colour Q

This afternoon I've used the unusual colour combination from this weeks ColourQ cQc#154 challenge and the layout for Freshly Made Sketches #46 - this week they are celebrating their first anniversary where you get to use a past sketch...thefloral stamps are from Chocolate Baroque.  Thanks for taking a peek and enjoy your weekend.

MojoMonday 258

Hi there from sunny Perth, Australia....this morning Skyping friend Vikki had me on the go early (there's a 2 hour time difference between us) and wella!! it's worked, my card came together quite well and I'm happy with fresh colours and my take on the MojoMonday #258 sketch. I decided to use die cuts already in my stash and not make any new ones and also to use an embossed background. Now that I'm all fired up lets see if I can come up with another card ....thanks for taking a peek

the Deconstructed sketche, Colour Throwdown challenges

Enjoying a few sunny days on my own here in Perth while hubby is away working. Today I've finished off this Friends card using the Deconstructed sketch #68 and the colours from last weeks Colour Thowdown CTD208. I made a whoopsie with the white die cut - when I ran it through my cuttlebug the die had paper cutouts in it from the last time I used it and hence they didn't cut right through so I decided it looked fine and go ahead and use it. Thanks for taking a peek

MojoMonday, Male Birthaday

It's my hubbys birthday this week, so I've used the MojoMonday #257 sketch for the layout - first I thought it was too layered but was inspired by lots of the other entries; I don't have many male stamps with me so these Chocolate Baroque postage set - and I'm very pleased now with the result.  Thanks for taking a peek
