Well we're nearing the end of the first month for 2017 and I'm eager to post one last card. I've been having a fiddle with some mixed media which really doesn't some easy to me but I'm happy with the result. There are a number of layers to my card... Distress Ink background, used also to colour texture paste which I used with a stencil and added glitter glue. I stamped my 'Flip Flop' image on green card and tore the edges, added som sunnies and then more glitter glue. I mounted it to my card over some twine and finished the card with a die cut bird and foliage. I am posting to Stamplorations January challenge using the sketch and mixed media. Also to Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media January challenge with Layers as the theme. Finally to Simon Says Monday challenge - Spread Your Wings. Thanks for taking a peek

Birthday Wishes
Today I am casing Jenni's card at Muse challenge #200 - I love her card, and chose to case her layout, the lovely floral center and the dotty background. I stamped the image and used Brushos to colour the image, then die cut the circle around the image and finished off with a stamped sentiment. I am posting also to Addicted to CAS - theme Wish and to Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes. Thanks for taking a peek and congrats to the team at Muse on their 200th challenge.

Celebrate Friends
Today I am casing Lyn's tag at Tag You're It #64 challenge. I was inspired by her layers of colour behind you sweet coffee mug with it's swirl of foam and mini heart - I used a die cut mug from my stash and cut down a die cut cupcake icing topping to make my foam and added some glitter glue. I used a scallop edge also to break the colour strips and added my stamped sentiment. Finished my tag with some matching ribbon ties. Thanks for taking a peek

Love and Best Wishes
Last week I thoroughly enjoyed colouring my stamped lily image with pencil that I decided to do another in different colours. I really like the crisp bright colours with lots white from the inspirational photo at The Card Concept 65 - Fresh and Bold , so I chose the bright pink to colour my flowers. To finish I just layered the panel onto a white card and added a stamped sentiment. I am also playing along with The Paper Players PP328 - Clean and Simple: Flowers, and Addicted to Stamps and More #226 with their Anything Goes challenge.
Joy to the World
Today I'm posting a Christmas card to Rudoph Days January Anything Goes challenge also Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge - optional 'Joy' and ABC Christmas challenge A & B - Something beginning with B ; my 'B' is for Bauble
First I made my Christmas bauble by die cutting a circle of metallic red card and then embossing it - this is cool because you get to place the circle to make best use of the embossing. Then I used the end of a tag die to cut the bauble top in gold metallic. I decorated the bauble with a small stamped poinsettia and die cut leaves and the word JOY. I decided to use this smooched gold reinker background on a white and finally stamped the sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek'B is for Something Beginning with B'

Happy Australia Day
I've just time to post my card this evening to the Just Add Ink #343 challenge - Pop-Up or Interactive card... and as tomorrow is Australia Day I have used my Wattle flower stamp with gold and green the Australian colours - to play along with Fusion Card Challenge. I have also included some die cutting to play along with NBUS #9 - The first optional theme I used this week is a NBUS Technique called "Hidden Word" or "Camouflaged Word" or, if you want to get technical "Steganography."
I've made a square card, folded the front back on itself and attached some DP on the back panel - firstly I die cut "hello" into the DP and then raised it with another die cut so it hides/blends with the card but is raised. I stamped and coloured my wattle with Brushos and layered it with green and 3D mounted it to the front. Then cut a strip of gold and this becomes a 'hinge' across the front attached to the back. Finally I stamped a NBUS sentiment and a few scattered greetings and attached a printed sentiment to the gold strip. Thanks for taking a peek
Australia Day is the official National Day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip. In present-day Australia, celebrations reflect the diverse society and landscape of the nation, and are marked by community and family events, reflections on Australian history, official community awards, and citizenship ceremonies welcoming new members of the Australian community ..... Our Beautiful World - Outside
Outside in our backyard....we have this swing hanging from the Mango tree....the littlies love it and it swings real high because the ropes are so long.
And now that we have had some rain the Mangoes trees are showing their blush of pink as the new growth appears.
And here are my Beehive Gingers tucked away under the big old Mango tree.

Joy
This week Darnell encouraged us to use our colored pencils on her NBUS #8 challenge and I found with them sitting on my desk I started colouring in other images.... and this cute bird stamp has become a little Robin. I decided to keep is clean and simple - so chose this embossing folder for the background. Then added some die cut foliage and a contrasting die cut sentiment to finish. I'm posting to Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge - Anything Goes with an Optional Twist - JOY. Also to Happy Little Stamper - Anything Goes with Dies challenge.
Merry Christmas
First Christmas card for the year... I'm CASing Kimberley's card at Muse: Christmas Vision #76 and posting to CAS Watercolour - January challenge - Snowflake. Firstly I created the background panel - stamped and embossed the green branch and then a scattering of snowflakes embossed in white. Then I gave the panel a wash of blue - I used a dry baby wipe sprayed with some blue mist, I find this way gives a nice smooth coat, not too blotchy. Then I cut some white card with a die to form my hill. I stamped and and coloured my image with Brushos and drew on a thread to hang it from the foliage. Finally I attached a stamped sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek.
