Two Christmas cards

Well this new Blogger thingie is going to burst my head.... grrrrr, steam and eyes rolling
Anyway I have another of my Zygote flowers to share today and two Christmas cards.

I stamped and white embossed the ornament on white card that I cut to a tag shape and used Distress Inks to watercolour it and tied on some matching ribbon.  Found some matching DP for the background and used foam sheet to attach the tag... to finish I stamped the sentiment and white embossed it on matching card.

While I had all the stamping bits out I stamped another ornament and white embossed it too, then used Distress Oxide to watercolour it and fuss cut it out.  I added some silver gel pen to the top, silver twine and a bow.  I used an embossed background and a matching green card.  To finish I die cut the sentiment three times... green card, silver metallic and white and layered them together.  I am playing along with Rudolph Days June challenge with this card.

With Love

I'm loving these PB cling stamps... in florals -- for this card I used different shades of yellows and greens Distress Inks to stamp the image - and using the Misti you are able to repeat stamping until the desired colours are achieved.  I added a little white gel pen to the flower centres and finished the card with a dark brown/red border on a burnt orange card ... tying some twine and a sentiment tag to the bottom.

I am playing along with Penny Black & More June challenge - Favourite stamps   ......   ALSO   ... Penny Black Saturday June challenge - Anything Goes.

Just Saying Hello

My first Zygote flowers for the season...

Today I have a fancy fold card for The Butterfly Challenge #143 -- Z for Z Fold
....   and   ....  Just Add Ink #510 - Fancy Fold

Constructed my 'Z' fold white card and found some DP with Light Purple and Flesh tones to use as the background.  From some scraps of light purple card, flesh and silver I die cut three zigzag strips and a butterfly.  Back the butterfly with light purple and added glitter glue and some gems.  Die cut a scalloped white square and silver embossed the sentiment.  Then arranged all the elements on the card

Two Cards Featuring Circles

Time for some more fun over at
Twofer Card Challenge #28 - Circles/Bubbles.
I have chosen to use a Circles die for my two different cards...

For the first card I die cut the circles using a background piece from my stash - black gloss card with Marvy Markers... I backed this with dull gold card and managed to cut four circle through this too so the blue of the card would show through.  Stamped the seahorse on gold holographic card (an old Christmas bon-bon) with permanent black ink and fussy cut this out.  To finish I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment and added a few sequins

With the second card I went CAS, using white card to die cut the circles and backing this with a background piece made with alcohol inks.  I die cut the 'Hello' too and stamped 'friend' in red ink.  Trimmed the panel and used red card to frame it on a white card.

With my first Seahorse card - I am also playing along with The Watercooler Wednesday WWC276 - Marsha's Challenge : Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist

Middle - from Arlene in May 2020 - made it safely and I'm loving this little bag card with flower
Right - from Hilary in May 2019 because this is a lovely CAS card and love that gorgeous die cut corner

We're having lots of fun this month over at The Card Chain Challenge where everyone is celebrating 3000 cards sent around the world - come on over and check it out.. here
A big thank you everyone who has loving made me a card over the years and sent it all the way to sunny Queensland in Australia.

Hope Your Day Absolutely Blooms

Hi and how's things at your place....  here's Mr Watson on my knee needing some loving attention while I'm trying to finish off my card

I have lots of UFOs in my stash and pieces that I have stamped  -  like this basket, ready for an inspired moment to finish off.  It's stamped and embossed on old cardstock so I very carefully gave a light brown watercolour to it...then carefully made a slit in the top so I could tuck in the stems and leaves I die cut from various scraps of  inked background.  I used a die to cut a curved frame in white card and and orange card, but first I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment.

I am playing along with Pixie's Snippets Playground #380   ...   and  .... Shopping Our Stash #422 - UFOs
