Wishing You a Joyous Christmas

A Christmas card today for the April Rudolph Days Challenge...

  • In my stash of pre die cut bits I found half a poinsettia flower... so scrounged up some more red card and die cut the rest and some leaves... from the Sizzix Layered Christmas Flower set
  • Also in the stash pile were some pine  sprigs from the Sizzix Winter Woodland set
  • Found some dotty background PP and randomly lightly stamped some Christmas text in Distress Oxide weathered wood.  Then stamp the top half of a Hero Arts sentiment stamp - Wishing you a joyous Christmas... used Versamark and Holly Berry Sizzix embossing powder
  • Attached panel to a white card and arranged all the elements - some bits with foam tape
Thanks for stopping by my blog...
have a Wonderful Creative week

Have a Beautiful Day

This week I've been in the dry embossing mode... and today I have two more to share

With my first card, I am playing along with the
  • I love this overall patterned EF (Practical Publishing - Floral Fancies EF) and think it looks like tiny flowers - which prompted me to die cut a heap of these little ones from the Sizzix Small Tattered Florals set from coloured card
  • In my stash I had some green smooched die cut leafy stems - Sizzix Delicate Leaves set and attached these to the embossed panel onto a white card.
  • And then set about covering the stems with tiny flowers, then added white Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers.
  • To finish, stamped the sentiment (Stamping & Papercraft - All Season Wreath set) with Versamark and heat embossed with white EP, on a matching green card strip

  • This card came about because I was searching through my drawer of pre-stamped images (these are years OLD), and this one tickled my fancy for a male card... had to colour this with pencils as not sure the old card would hold up the water, added some silver glitter pen to the dial and hand and fussy cut it out
  • A friend gifted me this unknown EF which had a lovely circle in the centre just the right size for my image
  • I embossed it onto Core'dinations Retro Mod Squad blue card and sanded the raised embossing
  • Attached all the elements to a white card and finished with a stamped clear embossed sentiment - Darkroom Door - Happy Birthday set
  • I think there are a few witty remarks can be added on the inside when I use the card... "...not even father time can hold up time for you",  or  ".... you old codger"

Thanks for stopping by my blog..   have a Wonderful day  ..  Cheers Robyn

Crazy Bird Notecard

So today (Fridays) I meet with some scrapbooking friends... where I make cards instead... suppose I was feeling a little 'crazy' today... and stamped some TH Crazy Birds and zany flowers from Stamps to Inspire - Polka Doodles - Summertime.

I created an embossed background using a Hexagonal 3D embossing folder from Practical Publishing.
The impression came out fantastic... but I thought to vamp it up - so smooched Celestial Copper metallic ink from Tsukneko over the raised surface and run it though the Cuttlebug again...  more interest added with blending Speckled Egg Distress Oxide over the raised surface.  Then arranged my stamped, watercoloured, fussy cut elements, on the panel and drew on the stems with Sharpie black marker  and attached to a green card.

I am playing along with Let's Squash It! challenge #19 - Without Geometry, Life is Pointless.
Thanks for stopping by my blog,  have a Wonderful day,     Cheers Robyn

Happy Mothers' Day

I thought this stamp from Santa Rosa was perfect for April

  • Stamped image with Versafine - smokey grey and watercoloured with Distress Inks
  • Trimmed panel and rounded the corners and attached to matching blue card
  • Stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with white EP...  stamp from Inspired by Stamping Mothers' Day Bouquet
  • Attached panel to a white card

March Card Chain Challenge Reveal

My March Card Chain Challenge card went to Helen in the USA and I'm so pleased that she has received it by the end of the month.

...... it was something a little bit different than my usual florals cards
I chose the theme Forest and Friendship, the colour palette (sort of) and ripped edges technique.

  • I tore some scrap paper to use as hill masks for the background and blended Distress Ink to create the hills, and sunset sky, then stamped some trees - Lavinia stamps - Trees with DI forest moss
  • I stamped the Bears from Woodland Hugs set by Samantha Chaffey with Versafine vintage sepia and watercoloured them and fussy cut them out.
  • A friend sent me these die cut trees (unknown) and I coloured them with DI brushed corduroy and used them to create a frame for the background
  • Die cut the sentiment from CUTplorations - Everyday Sentiments from black card
  • Assembled all the elements onto a dark green card

Thanks for stopping by my blog.... have a wonderful creative day
Cheers Robyn

Happy Birthday

The TWIST to the Anything Goes challenge is GREEN... for the challenge over at

Can You Handle the Pressure?

This embossed panel was on my desk as I'd used a friends embossing folder ...so I don't know the brand
I trimmed it to fit a white card and loosely watercoloured the background with mown lawn distress ink. Next I cut two strips of matching green card and white embossed the sentiment (a magazine freebie)n on the smaller strip and then attached it to the card.
