Love Tunnel Card

So today I tackled a 'Tunnel Card' for the "T" Butterfly challenge #137 --- well that was fun - glad I roughed one out with scrap first, ironed out a few glitches and then made it out of a pretty designer paper.

I cut a rectangle in the front panel after I'd scored and folded the card base.  Then decided to use the offcut for the centre panel and used a Label die to create the opening .... from the same DP pack I chose the light pink paper for the background... and assembled the card.
To decorate the card I chose flowers from a large stash I've had and not used for a very long time, also so pearl stamen.  I formed a cone from a scalloped die cut circle to use a wrapping tied with some teal twine, and placed this inside the card.
I die cut  'LOVE' on pale pink card and backed it with darker pink and then die cut two butterflies also from the scraps, touched the edges of the larger one with pink ink and then decorated both with White Crystal Drops and finally attached these in place and added two pink teardrop gems.

I'm really happy with the result and have included with my tunnel card and butterflies, two gems, tea rose, teal and twine.

Hold on to your Dreams

Daring Cardmakers
Here today with my card for my last week as Guest Designer at Daring Cardmakers...              I have enjoyed this month and challenged my card making with some really cool themes.

This card immediately came to mind when I saw the theme for this week was -
TAKE A FLYING LEAP, to celebrate 2020 being a Leap Year.

My frog stamp is very old and the rubber is softening but I did get a usable image when I inked it with Old Paper Distress Ink... and then I used my Distress Inks to watercolour it and finished off with some coloured pencil details.   I die cut some gum leaves and then used the negative of the cut to sponge some leaves around the edge of my card panel, also sponging in some blue for the background.  To finish I stamped on my sentiment in black and attached to a green card.
We'd love to see you join in the fun over at The Daring Cardmakers this week.

Merry Christmas

I stamped the large sentiment in Versamark and gold embossed it on the centre of a white card panel....then randomly stamped holly and mistletoe around the edges and gold embossed these too.  Then I loosely watercoloured the images with Distress Inks and a light wash around the outer edge....trimmed the panel and attached to a white card.

Sending Birthday Wishes

Here this morning with a card using 'snippets' from my stash.... the gold embossed cat image is ancient but he is soooo cute I think  - the gold embossing has held up well, I wasn't sure about the quality of white card it was stamped on - it definitely wasn't watercolour card but the watercolouring with Distress Inks worked ok, then I fussy cut him out.  The label background square is a freebie from a magazine and I stamped on the sentiment, cut a thin metallic red layer to match the bow tie and layered onto a fawn square on a white square card.

Wishing you a Very Happy Birthday

A lovely bright fuschia pink floral card this afternoon for The Rainbow Card  #14 challenge - Fiercely Fuschia.
This stamped flower in a bottle is from my pre-stamped stash gifted from a friend - I coloured it with coloured pencils and fussy cut it out.  I die cut a 'circles border' along one side of a white card front and stamped and silver embossed the sentiment.  Before I attached the panel to a pink card I added a row of spotty ribbon and then used foam tape to attached to image.

Birthday Wishes

Yipppeee it's been raining ....  and it's cooool

I put together this card with pieces from my stash --  the embossed background where I had smooched Distress Inks onto the flat surface before running through the machine.  My crazy bird was already watercoloured with DI - I added buttons, and hand drew a cap with stitching and coloured with pencils, then attached with foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap cut off the background panel and I framed it with black card and raised it with foam tape.
I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC#259 - Dawn's challenge - Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist   .....    also with The Male Room challenge #130 - Use Embossing    ....    and  Just Add Ink challenge #493 Just Choose Two -  I chose stitching and buttons.

Hello Friend

Daring Cardmakers
My third card this month as Guest Designer

Using some threads, fibres, yarn, twine, string on your card

I started with a sponged stencil image and a matching brown shades floral stamped image, that I'd coloured with pencils --- both in my stash.  I cut the medallion stencilled piece in half and fussy cut the flowers. Next I die cut some foliage in white card and my 'hello' sentiment in brown and also two layers of dark brown... then glued these together offset so there was a shadow.  Stamped and white embossed 'friend' on dark brown card too.  I arranged the elements and wrapped light brown raffia twine around it and left the tails long so they could be part of the arrangement.... an attached all these to a white card.
Here's a close up....

I am also playing along with Double 'D' challenge - Saying Hello!!

Blue Jug of Tulips

...... sending you a SMILE today

This is one of my favourite stamps --- well most flower stamps are favourites but this one I think is elegant and simple.... I stamped it with grey ink and used my coloured pencils to colour it.  Die cut the image in a square and added a rich blue layer to frame it onto a white square card....nice and easy.

I just love the stunning colors and shapes of these beautiful Hibiscus flowers in my garden

Using one of my very old wood mounted stamps today....  what female doesn't love flowers, I surely do....
I stamped the image in grey ink and watercoloured with Distress Inks.  I used a green card and a layer of coral to frame the image and finished off with a stamped and white embossed sentiment on dark green card,
